Halloween
I know this post is a little late but better late then never! This was Caidens first Halloween and we had a blast! He loved seeing all the other kids dressed up it was very exciting for him. We took Caiden trick or treating in downtown Edmonds with some friends and there kids. Caiden, along with a couple of his friends, were monkeys!

Getting into everything!
Caiden is now 9 months old and had his 9 month appointment. He is healthy and growing. His current stats are 24.10lbs (94%), 30.25 inches (95%), his head is in the 95%. We are now starting to feed Caiden new foods such as yogurt, avocado, pieces of banana, and cottage cheese. He is still having a hard time eating small chunks of food but he will catch on. His favorite thing right now is plain yogurt, he can't get enough of it!!! But he hates cottage cheese which thus far is the only food he has ever rejected.
Caiden has been crawling for a few months now and has gotten really good at walking along the furniture. He is really starting to discover the house now and gets into a lot of things. I have to admit even though it is a lot of work chasing him around the house I really enjoy to see how fascinated he is with everything. His favorite things to get into are: 1) The DVD player...he loves the buttons. 2) The dishwasher...every time he hears us open it he comes rushing in the kitchen. Since the bottom rack is on wheels he loves to pull it in and out. 3) The bathroom scale and shower curtain. The bathroom scale lights up when you press a button and he loves to tug on the shower curtain. 4) His FAVORITE thing is the laptop. We cant keep it away from him. If one of us is using the laptop Caiden rushes over and tries to press buttons. It is very difficult to use the computer when he is around. We are thinking this is partially our fault. When we were trying to get Caiden to crawl we would put the laptop on the floor to get him to crawl to it and then let him press buttons if he got to it. Maybe not the best idea but it worked! :)
I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and feel pretty good! When I first found out I was pregnant again I was worried it would be difficult to take care of Caiden with my belly. Its amazing how God works things out! It actually hasn't been bad at all. I am smaller then I was with Caiden and am feeling better this time around. It also helps that I have an amazing husband who does so much and helps out in so many ways. We are very excited to meet the new addition to our family in about 9 weeks. We know things will be chaotic at first but we know that it will all work out!

A small update
Ok so I am officially the worst blogger! I know it has been a long time since I have blogged, so I am not even going to attempt to fully catchup. I have posted a few random pics, in no particular order, of Caiden and some of the things he has been up to.
Caiden is growing really fast. He just recently turned 8 months old and is 24lbs and 29 3/4 inches long. Yes you read that correctly, he is a big boy! He is a crawling machine now and has discovered he can explore everything. He can also sit himself up and has started to pull himself up on things. One of my favorite things he does is say mama. I taught him to say it when he was only 6 months old. I think he is just now starting to realize that I am mama which is so sweet.
I am currently 6 1/2 months pregnant and feel great! I feel the baby moving all the time and am excited to see what he looks like. I really think that Caiden is going to love having a brother. He LOVES playing and watching other kids.
Its been over a month now since I have stopped working and I am loving it! Caiden and I have so much fun all day long. I must admit that some days it can be difficult to keep us both entertained but I try to be creative and find new stuff for us to do!

Its a...
Boy! We found out a week ago that Caiden is going to have a baby brother. We are so excited about the new addition to our family. Caiden is going to love having a brother so close in age for him to play with.

Mother's Day and more...
I had a great first Mothers Day! My wonderful husband took care of Caiden while I slept in. When I woke up he had made me breakfast. After church Hughey deep cleaned my car and made it very shiny! I am a very blessed woman to have such a wonderful husband and son!
Caiden is now 5 1/2 months old now, time sure flies. Yesterday we decided Caiden is ready to try rice cereal. He is always watching Hughey and I as we eat and tries to grab our food. So we tried rice cereal and he LOVED IT!!! I couldn't get the cereal in his mouth fast enough. He even tried to grab the bowl from me to tell me he wanted more. I think we are in trouble when he gets older he is going to eat us to the poor house. :)
Caiden is becoming slightly mobile now. He likes to roll to his tummy and try to grab toys. I dont know how he does it but he ends up a few feet away from where I left him. He is also getting close to sitting up on his own which we are very excited about. We are so in love with our big guy he brings so much joy to our lives!
For those of you who don't already know, we are expecting baby Veal #2 arriving around November 8th. We are going to be very busy with 2 kids being only a year apart but it will be fun to see how close of friends they will be. We are truly blessed!

Whats New with Caiden!
I know it has been a long time since I have posted, sorry! Things are a lot busier now that Caiden is getting older. He sleeps less during the day and more during the night now so we are really busy entertaining him all day. Caiden has been sleeping through the night for about 2 months now it is wonderful!
Last week we had Caiden's 4 month well check. He is really growing!!! He weighs 17.12lbs, 94%, yes he is very heavy! He is a really tall boy too he is now 27 1/4 inches long, 98%, and his head is in the 88%. He is already starting to out grow his 6 month clothing and will soon be moving into 9 month. I can't believe he is 4 months and will soon be in 9 month clothing!!!
He is so much fun! He loves to smile, laugh and his limbs are constantly moving. We borrowed our friends Jumperoo and he loves to jump in it. One of Caidens favorite times of the day is the morning and when daddy comes home from work. I love to see Caidens eyes light up when he sees Hughey come home. Caiden starts smiling and laughing at Hughey but the best part is he always starts a conversation with daddy.
Caiden is now at the stage where he is drooling sooooo much! His clothes are always wet, including mine! He now grabs at things and everything goes in his mouth. He also loves to play with toys.
I went back to work a little over a month ago. Its going good. Hughey and I have decided that after this school year I will be staying home full time as a mommy. I am excited!!! So that means I only have about 2 1/2 months left then no more work!
I think I have filled you in on everything going on in our lives.
I have so many pictures that I would like to share but not enough space on this post. I chose some of my favorites. I will probably do a post soon of all pictures.
I went to the living room and discovered some son and daddy bonding...watching the basketball game!
You will notice that a lot of pictures that Caiden is smiling in he is in his PJ's. Thats because he is the happiest in the morning.

I love this picture. Caiden and all his chubby-ness staring at his feet. He hasn't tried to grab them yet he just likes to look at them.
