Christmas 2010!

I was so excited for Christmas morning!  Hugh and I had stayed up late to put together the boy's kitchen, that we bought them, and their table and chairs that Bella and Chris got them.  It was so fun to watch the boys see their kitchen for the first time.  They both had huge smiles on their faces and quickly ran over to check out how it all worked.  After opening gifts Uncle Steve and Auntie Emily came up stairs and we all had breakfast together.  The boys played all morning and afternoon until nap.  After nap we headed over to my parents house to have dinner and open gifts.  My parents have been quite excited to give the boys their gift for a long time. They got them an automatic ride on semi-truck, which they love!  To say our kids were spoiled this year is an understatement!  With both the boys having birthdays in November and then Christmas in December our house has been taken over by toys! :)  We had such a blessed holiday season filled with family and friends!

Thank you God for sending your one and only son to save us!  You have truly blessed our family!  Happy Birthday Jesus!

Christmas Eve 2010!

For Christmas Eve we went to Hugh's moms house.  We had a great time eating, visiting family and opening presents.  The boys loved playing with all of the bows and paper left all around.  Sonia and Chris bought everyone scarves to wear for our family pic which you will see below!  It was a great night!  We are so blessed to have so much family around us!

Uncle Steve took this great pic of the boys!

Bellevue Botanical Gardens!

Hugh and I took the boys to the Bellevue Botanical Gardens the weekend before Christmas to see all the lights.  It is amazing to see what they can make with lights.  Caiden kept yelling, "Christmas lights" over and over again and Landon would point and say, "oohhh, oohhh" it was really cute.  It was a very cold night so after the lights we went to Starbucks and got hot chocolate.  We will definitely go back next year!

That is Caidens "cheese face"  He looks mad but he's not!

Making Christmas Cookies!

My mom and sister Jamie came over to make Christmas sugar cookies with the boys and I.  This was the first baking experience for them and they had a blast.  Caiden loved to play in the flour (of course), he liked to push the cookie cutters in the dough and he liked to eat the dough!  Yes, that's right he kept sneaking pieces of dough into his mouth.  I finally had to cut him off and tell him no more dough.  It was funny though because he kept trying to sneak more.  He would make sure I wasn't looking then try to quickly put it in his mouth.  Silly boy!  Landon loved to play with the cookie cutters.  Anytime we dropped something he would pick it up and hand it to us.  He's a great little helper!

This big eyed little boy was a great helper!

I didn't have a rolling pin so I used a Pam can.  Hey, it worked!

Loved playing in all the flour!

Guilty look! Trying to eat more dough! This picture makes me laugh!

Leavenworth Christmas Lighting December 11th!

On December 11th we went on a day trip to Leavenworth to see the Christmas lighting.  We had been looking forward to this for months!  We went with my parents, sisters and all of their significant others.  We had such a amazing time.  We have decided that this is something we will do as a family every year.  The boys especially Caiden (landon is still a bit young) LOVED the snow.  Caiden loved to make snow balls and throw them at people.  It snowed the entire time we were there and when I say snow I mean a down pour of snow!  We arrived in Leavenworth around 1:30 and had reservations at a restaurant at 3:00.  We walked around the town for about a hour and went to the restaurant a little early to get out of the snow.  After we eat we went out to see the lighting it was beautiful!  The kids loved it and Caiden kept saying "Christmas lights!"  After the lighting we went to Starbucks got hot chocolate and then headed home.  Next year we decided we are going to bring my parents motor home for the day in order to have a place to change and eat.  We were all soaked by the time we got to the car and had no place to change.  We had to change the kids in the trunk of the car and it was really cold.  It was a great trip and we cant wait till next year!

I wanted to add that next year I will be purchasing snow gear for myself.  I ended up wearing Uggs and they are not good in the snow...no traction. I ended up falling three times.  One of those times I was holding Landon and dropped him.  I felt terrible but he was fine.  Luckily he fell in soft snow.

My sisters took some more pics.  Once I get those I will add them.

Having fun throwing snowballs!
